I had with all the games until Crime and Punishment a performance problem. I had low FPS, no matter how I tried to change graphic options; after some search I found this solution: go to Appdata/roaming/games/yoursherlockholmesgame
- find setup.ini
- open it
- find v-sync and change "default" with "four"
- find windowed mode and change "no" with "yes"
- execute the game as administrator

Now the game should go smoothly
