In the final mission of Shadows Of Hong Kong, 'Tai Po', where is the substaion located? I searched around everywhere for it but was unable to find it.

On an unrelated matter, what skills if any increase mages chances to get critical hits with thier spells?
You mean the last battle? Just keep moving sideways. Right (and down a bit?). (There are a couple of street fights before you find the locale.)

Not sure if there is a way to increase critical magic attacks, except to increase chance to hit as with Wisdom and Spellcasting, because there is no information available (just checked engine 3, HK).
So, it may be:
- related to Wisdom and Spellcasting,
- based on Spellcasting (like Melee weapon increases the critical chance for Close Combat),
- based on Ranged Attack (as a function of Quickness), or
- determined completely randomly.

Bear in mind that each engine does some things differently. For instance, in the second engine if you install augmentations that decrease your Essence, and then replace them with newer cybernetics that consume less Essence, the PC does not regain the difference; this is in contrast to the third engine, which does. Is this a bug or a feature — who can say?

No not the last battle. If you go into the building down the bottom right of the starting map you can get some information about some kind of power substation that you're supposed to be able to interact with but I can't even find it. I'm sure it's not the final battle because once you enter the building where the final battle takes place it says you've failed the 'visit substation' objective.

I found it. It's hidden away behind a few buildings directly east of the starting location, down a narrow alleyway.
