GOG and Hair Brained Schemes,

I am trying to start the normal campaign. After Character Creation and intro video, the load bar freezes just after it starts. The tips keep scrolling and the mouse is still active. What Is wrong?

Change the compatibility option to XP (SP3) or later if you have Win10 and run the game as administrator (ask here if you need help with that). I had similar problems when i tried to play it on wife's 8.1 laptop and this solved it.

Thanks for posting. I don't understand, I looked in several places for the compatibility mode, did not find it. The GOG Galaxy may be inhibiting this.

Do you have recommendations?

Hm, just go where the game is installed (can't help you with that as i've never used the client, but i'd guess it installs the games inside the folder where Galaxy is installed -- you can also use the search function) and locate the .exe of the game, then right click -> properties -> compatibility.

Vythonaut: Hm, just go where the game is installed (can't help you with that as i've never used the client, but i'd guess it installs the games inside the folder where Galaxy is installed -- you can also use the search function) and locate the .exe of the game, then right click -> properties -> compatibility.
Strangly enough a simple uninstall and reinstall worked. I do not know what was the difference between the first and second attempt. As far as Hairbrained schemes goes I might be the worst video game tester ever.
