Couldn't seem to see any mention of it here on this board. Any word on when it will be here?

Steam buyers got it on the 16th October... but can we at least expect the same patch next week?

(hmm, is it me, or does Steam seem to try and release patches as close to the weekend as possible? Is it too "tinfoil" to suspect this might actually be a Steam ploy to cause longer delays for others like GOG?)

Steam patch process is automated. The devs are the ones releasing the patches at the times they do.

Exactly so. Further, I've come to the conclusion that since devs seem to prefer putting things up on Friday night, it is a sign that they secretly hate GOG and GOG users.

It's here as of right now :) Sorry for the delay :)

Thanks heaps!

And I know it's not your fault, nor (I suspect) GOG's as a whole.

Or, it could be a sign that they want to do a release before heading to the pub on Friday night to celebrate. Makes sense to finish something like a release on a Friday.

Well sure. But if you are wise, you plan to implement things at the most beneficial day and time. If they had us Goggers in mind, then Wednesday might be the official implementation day. Since it is not so, then we must rationally conclude that they do not have us in mind.

Obviously what they do have in mind is that the Steam users have patches available to play with on the weekends. If they gave any thought to GOG users having patches available to them on weekends then they would publish earlier in the week. And if they really loved us, they would push the patches to GOG *earlier* than when they publish on Steam so the new code would be available to all their users at the same time.
You think that its fun here? I made the foolish mistake of redeeming it on Humble. We still don't have this update and whats more the download for Linux 3.0.6 is uncompressed so a full 10gig. Even better is the fact they've known about that and the fact that Linux Dragonfall DC is corrupt since the last patch and have done nothing, I was told it was being looked into. Hell if they can't figure out how to make a compressed tarball I'd take the uncompressed one over broken or they can stick to zip files. The lack of patch on Humble seems to confirm my fears over only Kickstarter backers getting the Humble DRM-free download. These things are the reason I'm not backing any more of their games as much as I enjoy them.

I've never had any luck with Humble support. All I ever get is that company that they contract to pass out faqs to people who file support requests. They are useless. GOG support is pretty wonderful, in comparison.

-edit- Wait. You aren't going to back HBS Kickstarters because you don't like Humble? That doesn't make any sense to me. Maybe I misunderstood what you were saying.

No the files published on humble are the ones given to them by the developer I've been in contact with Harebrained its their responsibility to fix the files and obviously their job to upload the updates in the first instance.

I did not know that HBS used Humble. Or was it that first DRM-free distribution of Dead Man's Switch, before HBS contracted with GOG? (back when Microsoft did not want them to distribute any DRM-free anything to anyone) I vaguely recall how that worked, but I don't recall that it was through Humble - could be wrong.
They gave the option of GOG and Humble I think when it first came out it was the period where GOG had said Linux was coming but before they were doing it so I went with Humble. I'm pretty sure you can still get the first two games from Humble DRM-free though you'd be stuffed if you bought Dragonfall DC for Linux if you did.

When Hong Kong came out backers had the option of DRM-free from Humble so I thought I'd keep them all in the same place. Then it turned out that only backers would get DRM-free from Humble so there is very little pressure on HBS to keep the DRM-free download up to date as its catering to a small backer group. Heck they've probably already forgotten that they have to update it. I've not contacted them about the lack of update just going to wait and see and then probably ask they just drop humble drm-free and give all humble users gog codes cause they really aren't doing a good job there, in my opinion.

Huh! Since you prefer to have your collection on Humble, I hope HBS will solve their support issues there. Good luck.
