Native Linux version for this game has been available on Humble Store since late December 2013.

Now that GoG supports Linux games, is there a plan to provide the Linux version of this game on GoG? If so, any ETA?
Dragonfall on GOG advertises Linux support but not the original SR:Returns. I have no idea how someone is supposed to install Dragonfall on Linux if bought on GOG.
I bought SRR originally on GOG and later got Dragonfall from Humble store and faced this problem - no Linux version on GOG! I wrote to developers but they were not willing to offer any support on this. So I had to buy SRR on Humble store as well!
Why is it a problem to add the Linux version since it is readily available from the developer and GOG had promised Linux support sometime recently?

P.S. Sorry it seems that new Dragonfall is a standalone version not requiring the original game to run. But still no Linux for the original one.

We're working on getting the Linux version of Shadowrun Returns. We planned to release it today (18.09.2014) but there were technical issues with the Linux build so there's been a slight delay :/

This is great news, I've been waiting for the Linux version to buy it. Does this mean both Shadowrun Returns and Dragonfall, or just SR?

For now just SR since Dragonfall DC is already out on Linux :)

technical issues being specific to the GOG version? I only ask since it has been out a while from the other storefronts and didn't know if the issues were universal. I don't mind waiting longer personally, my other GOG furnished Linux games run flawlessly on my machine.

Is Dragonfall playable without having SR installed? I downloaded the "linux instller" for Dragonfall, but don't see how to install it or run it post download (and extraction). If it is playable without SR, will you be releasing it as a .deb file?

Yes, it is :) There is a start.sh script inside the archive so all you need to do is just run ./start.sh in terminal :)

Thanks, I looked back through my logs and noticed that it didn't extract successfully (download failed) after I so I didn't see all of the files (to include start.sh)

Well, I've now tried downloading it a third time and each time I'm getting an 'unexpected end of archive error' when trying to unzip it.

Am I the only one having this issue?

No. Someone else mentioned having trouble downloading it in a Wasteland 2 download related thread unless that was you. You could give LGOGDownloader a try if you are so inclined.

Yes, we just added the Linux version of Shadowrun: Returns and the original Dragonfall DLC version for completion's sake to everyone's accounts :) Enjoy the Linux version of SRR, guys :)

downloaded and fired up SR linux without issue, problem is my laptop is too old to really run it in a playable way - but hats off to GOG for getting it out.
