Dear GOG team!
I can understand the desire the keep as few files as possible per game - but why do you kill old patches?
When I download a game from my collection, I burn it to a disc, because it IS faster to install a game from your own discs then download it each time from GOG server.
Besides, some game are rather big in size.
But because of your killing old files I cannot now play Shadowrun HK - I missed previous patch and the current one is not compatible with my game. So it means thet I have to download the whole game again...
Gentleman, it IS rather troublesome.
So - can you please upload old patches again?
Keeping the old patches would make updating even more confusing (do I need to install 1.10 and 1.11 before 1.12, or maybe 1.12b includes everything, and what the hell is 1.12a for?). Their current stance is that they provide the latest patch as a separate download for a short while, and remove it once they update the main installer. It's not a perfect system, but it's better than letting the users figure out which files they need from a rose of 20 incomprehensibly named patches.

That said, I'm sure the support team can let you have the patch you require, if you contact them directly. http://www.gog.com/support

Well.. better than 20 incomprehensibly named patches, but not better than 20 comprehensibly named ones.

With 1 patch capable of updating any version to the current one would be by far the best solution,
even if it were 10x the size of current patches, it'd still be better than downloading the whole game.
New patches should include/be able to update any previous version. But I suppose that isn't always possible. Still it should usually be possible.

That being said, why would you download and burn to disc in 2015? At least use a USB pen drive or something lol.

That's exactly what I want - a patch that can be used to update any prior version of a game to it's current state.

Not to start flame war, but I prefer discs over USB drives. You know - "each one to his own".
