you missed my point.
we have 2 pc's, mine and the roomates.
the patch is auto downloading the patch on each pc.

1 was nearly done when 1 of us got home, which leads to downloading the patch a second time which is 14 GB's. we downloaded 1 install when the game was released and used on both pc's with 2 legally bought copies on individual accounts. which case the game release was also 14 GB.

i have done nothing wrong or illegal, the lack of having a stand alone patch is frustrating and wasting my time when it could have been done right in the 1st place.
we are ending up downloding the intergrated patch that is in the full install of the game, just because a stand alone patch isnt showing up in galaxy or online when i log in.

i said i wont use gog for purchases in the future because this is silly, i said i would use steam in the future since they generally dont make me download entire games again to get the patches. i did not say i was linking anything together.

im not sure why after saying it 3 times or more that we both bought the game on our own seperate accounts, so thats 2 game purchases, but someone still thinks someone is pirating, this is just baffling to me. if me and my roomate had used steam in the 1st place, we both would have had to buy the game there too for our seperate accounts just like we did here.

in the future i hope the patches are released correctly so it wont be yet another time of downloadingthe entire game again just to get the patches included, you know since i legally bought the game from this vendor and not appreciating the way the patches are available only through downloading the entire game again.

we could have disabled auto update then got the 1 file to update both pc's that have legal paid for copies of this game on 2 independent personal accounts, but alas i dont know anyone with a crystal ball that could have told me they were going to make the update part of redownloading the entire game a 2nd time.

only a few more hours before i have to go to work and my update still wont be done downloading by then, so now now you see how its wasting our time when we could have played coop today on 2 legally obtained copies of the game on our 2 seperate accounts on 2 different pc's.

sure i will be able to play coop tomorrow, but you can see how this is annoying in the 1st place.

hopefully that is easier to understand.

edit add: coop from my understanding can only be done on legally owned copies in the 1st place, so how is it people are assuming someone is pirating the game and playing coop at the same time. *face palm.*

You miss the point, you got two computers in the same house and crap internet, why download the same thing twice when you can just copy the files from one computer to the other?

read again.
auto update was already enabled, and 1st time gog game buyer. we did not have a crystal ball to tell us the patch would be downloading the entire game again twice while we were at work or sleeping with a small window between to check.

so had the patch not been requiring downloading the entire game a 2nd time to get the patch we would not be in that spot to begin with.

also why are people constantly accussing people of pirating? we are legit customers and dont need to be hasseled in the 1st place.

so your telling me i should have stopped 1 pc that was 3/4's of the way done to download 1 full file that included and the entire game with the patch intergrated into it? or should i have just let it finish and start mine like i did? apparently im wrong because they didnt release stand alone patch in the 1st place. thanks for correcting me on how wrong i truely am for buying a game here and expecting normal patching proceedures.

DOn't bother arguing man, the truth is; there usually is a standalone patch. It's the first time i've ever seen it like this. That normally doesn't happen. And apparently we are getting a stand alone patch on monday. Always go DRm Free, this is just a fluke of an icident bud. Ignore everything else.
understood, i let frustration of this debacle and then explaining something simple over and over get to me.

lazarhead: Just give us a standalone patch in the games library, ok?
avatar
Thiev: Offline patch will be available on Monday.
When exactly will this be happening?

It's out now.

Great! Thank you. :)

EDIT: only 8 MB? How can this be? In GOG Galaxy the game was updated two times and the first update already had 7,2 GB of size + the second one with 46 MB.

Lol, wtf is going on?
From what I can gather from what others have said, the devs have access to push updates via Galaxy, so they'll most likely just whack a full new install set instead of just a small patch like we got (this time) via the normal downloader.

Thank fook for 8mb though \o/

P.S. That was weird, a requester popped up stating "this patch is not compatible with the Galaxy version" or words to that effect.
