SFJake: What?

I have no idea why you went on and told me all this, but the mouse works fine in normal DosBox, which is the default game, which supports it (even Y axis) fine.

In the port, its absolutely awful.

Even Doom has proper X axis mouse support. I'm not here to debate if I should use it or not.
The Build games (Shadow Warrior, Duke Nukem 3D, Redneck Rampage, Blood etc.) did not have any z axis. Therefore your mouse look in those games is actually not doing anything much for you, except that if you are accustomed to using the mouse to turn right and left as opposed to just using the arrow or 'A' and 'D' keys (in the WASD configuration, which I never use in any game).
So I don't think he is saying that mouse look does not work. Just that mouse look does not really do anything that cannot be done easier with just arrow keys. Of course for you and anyone else more used to 'modern' controls and games NOT using the mouse might be akin to telling a right handed person to use his left hand to throw a ball.
I'm using mouse look just fine - it simply seems "weird" at first.
Sorry I just need to clarify something, Twin Dragons was a free download way back when and Wanton Destruction was an expansion that was shelved and later released as freeware by 3D Realms way before they went under. So don't feel to bad about not using the GOG versions of the expansions.
This mod don't support CD music included in GOG release. And without music... Well, why bother?
Has anyone got the high resolution pack to work, I get white blocks through out the game.
Ok I was able to get SWP to work with the high resolution without game save file corruption and music playing. First you need an older version of SWP

http://forums.duke4.net/topic/5646-proasm-got-shut-down/

about the middle someone posted the zip for the older version that works. I played through the first level and a little of the second and the music was playing, I had three different save files none of them got corrupted. I also added the gog music files for Shadow warrior complete in the SWP music folder...... good luck

Can you describe how you were able to get the .ogg sound files from the gog release to work with this version of sep?

It looks like it is just playing the midi files that came with the SWP mod, not gog oggs.
I tried to use SWP but it just crashes on my PC.

Alienware M11X r3.
Was any one able to get the game to not crash with sounds enabled on 7 64?

I'm running Win 7x64. Only crashes I got in SWP were from the corrupted saved games issue. Haven't tried the older version yet.

In addition, did anyone find a way to use the cd quality .ogg music files with swp? SWP just seems to read midi files or the original files from the original cd. However, gog doesn't come as a disc image. So we can't just mount them.

Not true, it comes in binary format. GAME.GOG is .bin image and GAME.DAT is .cue file that icludes oggs. As you know, .cue (GAME.DAT) is supposed to be mounted and ogg files should be where path to directory with them is (MUSIC).

GAME.DAT content:

GAME.GOG\goodies\midi content:

OKINOWWA.MID Okinoww!a (Shadow Warrior Theme Song)
EVRYOFF.MID Everybody OFF!!!
254MM.MID 254 mm.
MORSE.MID Morse Kodo
A10TION.MID Attention

In shareware GRP they are as:
THEME.MID
E1L01.MID
E1L02.MID
E1L03.MID
E1L04.MID

These midi were deleted from registered GRP as full game supposed to use redbook audio. There was never midi soundtrack for Code of Honor, only for shareware episode.

Note that they aren't used in the registered version of the game so changing settings to midi won't enable them, they are just for entertain purposes.

In theory, you could just set MIDI source from shareware version in CFG file and then include missing MID files in registered version from shareware GRP.

Even more crazy theory is that original soundtrack could be converted into midi, but since Code of Honor maps were made for full version I doubt if it's only a case of numbers and names.

I´m playing the DOS version without source port;
still A LOT fun since it runs almost perfect in dosbox

Sad is that a great game like that, that has a souce code, doesn´t have a source port that runs well in win7

It's true, unfortunately. The dosbox version has fine mouse support, but the swp port is all over the place. No matter how you alter the mouse setting in game, it just doesn't control well at all. It's as if the mouse speeds up uncontrollably with faster movement. If anyone has been able to fix this (recognizing that it's a hack of the original engine), post here.
