I've had corrupted saved files mainly on level 2 so far, level 3 - no problem.

I've started saving a lot - every few minutes, in this manner:

1. Save on slot 1. Try to load slot 1.
2. If above works, works, save on slot 2, and try to load slot 2.
3. If above works, carry on. If it doesn't, load working slot and imeediately back it up in the second one.

Obviously this is quite annoying, but at least it keeps me from losing a lot of progress when a saved game is corrupted.

Crusher: I'm a bit confused: I uncompressed all the files in the zip in a new folder (SWP), placed the main SW.grp in the same folder and the grp files for both expansions (wt.grp and sw.grp -found in the Twin Dragon folder of the Gog installation) in the GAMES folder. And yet, no matter wha I select, I can't open the expansions, each times it opens only the original game. Any ideas?
The GRP files for both Wanton Destruction and Twin Dragons are on the Add-ons session of the Proasm website. You just need to put them on the "games" folder. http://www.proasm.com/sw/swaddons.html

About the mouse jitter, had this problem with the High-Resolution pack only. Without is playable, at least for me.
anyone havind music issues as in no music at all in the non shareware episode, the one that starts on a boat? I have music in the shareware levels (the first 4) and when in use dosbox i have music everywhere? Does anybody know how to fix that?

Same issue, don't know the fix.

Even in the shareware episodes the music disappears if you restart a new game.

Maybe downloading the grp files from the swp site instead of using the GOG ones will help for the expansions at least? Haven't tried it myself yet.
I hate to post again, but one thing I have to say after trying both the current version of SWP and an older version, just avoid this program altogether and stick with playing Shadow Warrior in DOSBox. From what I experienced, 4.3.2 almost works, but you can't seem to save the game without it getting corrupted or crashing the game. The 4.3.0 version I found did not have the save game issue but didn't seem to like playing the music at all and had some crashing issues of its own. It could be my system but the save problem seems to affect others when they tried it too.
Unfortunately on my laptop playing DOSBox version is a no-go unless I want to stick to either 320x200 or 640x480 with framerates in the high teens (or that's what it feels like anyway.)

So I'll just make do with SWP and cycling saved games. For music I can just launch a player in the background.

Edit: All right, the save game corruption got so annoying that after the shareware levels I switched to DOSBox. The weird "320x400" resolution runs acceptably.

Thanks! The files from the SWP site worked perfectly.
I tried SWP...works great for Shadow Warrior. But I could only find the WT.GRP & Sw.grp files and no Td.grp to go with them.

I tried running the WT.GRP but all it did was load the original campaign and game for me.

So ya. I dont use this source port now due to that.

you put the .GRP file in the "games" subfolder of SWP, then, using playwang, double click on the name of the .GRP file in the launcher (roughly top left) not on "play SW"
This is awesome! When I downloaded SW the FIRST thing I did was go to JF's site and download the SW engine but it doesn't play nice with 64bit Windows and complains about missing .GRP's.

GOG is rad but playing the games with no mouse aiming at a 10x10 resolution is criminal. I still remember how to get the nuke in the first room too :D

But I'm playing it on DOS with better mouse than SWP and at 800x600, looks quite good. <-< People always underestimate what you can do with those DOS games.

plays fine on this windows 7 64 bit system , no missing .grp's or anything.

Duh that is where the .grp files go. I did that. But the gog version of the game or the Complete version provided by gog does not include 3 diff .grp files.

Atleast mine doesnt.

I have 2 Sw.grp files in my gog game. 1 is in the default game's folder and the other is in the "dragon" folder.

Besides that anyways you should venture to by thread about how to play the game using Dosbox which is much much better imho.

I am even bout to update my first post in that thread to include the url to my new HD video of me playing Shadow Warrior in DosBox.

This is called ModeX, that's the resolution that quite a lot of FPP games ran in at the time.

What was so wild about Shadow Warrior and Blood, was that they had support for 800 x 600; when at the time, almost no consumer desktop could manage it at that resolution.
