Is there any way to change it? I may be wrong, but I feel like the game isn't running in 800*600. Can we edit the settings somewhere?
In your start menu where you find your GOG files there should be a resolution subfile
I can't find anything, and I suspect the game runs in 640*480.
same problem, have a settings file. That launches the settings via dosbox but changing resolution there doesn't seem to work
Don't have the game yet but it used to be that you changed the screen resolution via setup.exe.

Pretty much. All you have to do is follow the steps below.
(Win 7) Start -> All Programs -> GOG.com -> Shadow Warrior Complete -> Settings -> Screen Setup -> VESA modes -> (choose your desired resolution here) -> Save & Launch the game.
Thanks! It works. I was looking directly in the game folder, that was a mistake.
There is a setup utility in the main folder, guys. I can get it to switch resolutions, but scaling it to fullscreen is quite hard -- of course it wouldn't look any better, just bigger, but that's just what I want right now.

EDIT; As a matter of fact, I think I got it just now. The resolution is set to original and drawing is opengl, I think. There may be room for improvement, but playing through the first level it seems good enough for me.

Does this version of SW have native monitor resolutions (like the GOG version of Blood), or is it limited to the cruddy 800x600 (I think) max resolution of the original?

It's limited but you can use a source port (see other topic).
You can also press F5 in-game to change resolutions. F1 shows you all your keybinding assuming you haven't changed any.

You can get higher resolutions, up to 1280x1024 in my experience by using a "cheatcode" to cycle them.

Press the key you have bound to "message/talk" (for me it's 'T'), type swres, and hit "Enter". Better do it in windowed mode just in case. It will cycle through a whole bunch of resolutions, including some very weird ones.

You can also directly put the resolution you want into SW.CFG (in the SW Complete installation directory.) This is NOT one of the .conf files from DOSBox. If it's one of the supported by the game resolutions, it should work.

example:

ScreenMode = 1
ScreenWidth = 1280
ScreenHeight = 1024
Make sure the DOSBox resolution (through GOG's graphics setup utility) is not any smaller than the one you choose. I'd also recommend setting output=openglnb.

Is there a way to make the "F5" game resolution mode standard when you first start up the game? Where is that setting kept?

Update:
It looks like the game will rewrite the SW.CFG file after the user selects a new resolution with F5. Though I still wish there was a way to make "mouse look" work automatically without having to press a button.

You have to use the dos setup of the game, then you can choose .
Remember that higher resolutions affect the performace, so I suggest you use a source port
