ArchPrime: I had a Blue screen in Windows 10 while playing Shadow Warrior 2 v 1.1.14.0 , and on restarting windows, found my save game was no longer shown in the Shadow Warrior start up screen, even though the associated file 'progress.bin' is still there in C:\Users\[username]\Saved Games\Flying Wild Hog\Shadow Warrior 2\profiles\galaxy_191960149789913182\1
How do I continue playing from where I left off? I was around 50% of the way through.
I tried saving a backup of the savegame folder, starting a new game, getting to a save point, then copying the original files into the new folder that had been automaticaly created, but my savegame is still not visible when I restart the game.
What do I do?
Can't face playing again from the start
hudfreegamer: This is why I believe all games should let you play any level from the beginning. If something goes wrong, you can pick up where you left off.
Try removing the save games from the folder you mentioned and start the game. Then, exit. Then, copy over your save game that you backed up. Then run SW2 again and see if it shows up.
If that doesn't work, there is one more option. You could use console commands to enable the cheats menu and level select.
Here's a page with all the info:

Alternatively, you could download someone else's save game. It will likely be a 100% completed game though with everything unlocked. It might let you go back and replay from where it crashed though.
Thanks HudFreeGamer.
I have essentially done just that, but as soon as my old savegame file replaces the new one, it is no longer recognized by the game. I presume it has been corrupted during the crash.
Have not tried the cheats option, but presumably it cannot restore all my aquired loot and weapons, skills etc, as well as marking missions and side missions I have done as complete, but not the remainder (and no more).
This seems to have been a known bug that was uppsedly addressed by an earlier patch - but clearly it wasn't.
Is there somewhere where people have uploaded savegames at various points? If I can find one with a comparable level of completion, that might be a good option as you mentioned...?
