The original game is supposed to have CD audio tracks, are those included with the GOG release?
This question / problem has been solved by eisnerguy1image
Doesn't anyone know? *sniff* This should be easy to answer for those who already bought the game...

The question is if it is possible to use CD audio ingame (as an alternative to MIDI).

That doesn't really answer my question. :/
TParis, both the Mac & Windows versions include the CD Audio tracks. They were ripped as OGG files at Bitrate of 192 kb/s and a Sample rate of 44100 Hz. They are mounted in DOSBox via a .cue file.

Can the DosBox config for mounting be shared with us? I'm not using the GOG version, but I never, ever got the music to work in DosBox. Heck I'd probably need the music files/image, if anyone can share that.

I don't think I can share the music files/image, sorry. Just buy the game :P It's $6 :P
I'd buy it again, its just I'm missing literally 80 cents in my paypal account and I don't have a CC, meaning it takes 2 weeks to get that money in it <-<

I know the music is available in MP3 format for free around here or on YouTube. I assumed its legal to share it, since its not sold anywhere. But thats assuming the image doesn't include a copy of the game's files too. (in which case you couldn't share it)

The music is copyright too of course, not just the game code; and with GoG selling it, that also means that it's still sold. You could (possibly) have a friend buy it as a gift to your account, and pay them the $6.

Is that mount command included in the shortcut file that comes with the game, so that I only need to start the game normally to hear the music? Or do I have to type in the parameters myself (or create my own .bat or shortcut file)?

In my opinion, Shadow Warrior's music is a very important part of the gaming experience. Shadow Warrior loses a lot of its politically incorrect stereotyping orientalism without the "chinaxlotation film" soundtrack!

Everything is included and you don't have to run any commands to get it working. You get an exe that starts up the game (it starts up dosbox and inputs all commands automaticly) after which you get to choose wether you want to play the original game or one of the expansion packs. Once you have chosen that, one of the games will start up with music and everything. You may want to run the setup exe (also included and easy to find) first in order to set resolution (max 800x600) and customise controls.
The only gripe i have with it is that i can't seem to adjust the volume for the music which means i have to turn the game sounds up and manually adjust the overall volume on my headset.
