Just to clear this out once and for all:
SWOS on gog.com HAS Joystick support and you can play with a friend on the same computer (with a joystick and a keyboard or with TWO joystick).
BOTH on WINDOWS and MAC OS.
Now:
ON WINDOWS
JOYSTICK SUPPORT
Make sure to have installed your joystick/joypad driver (360 Xbox wired/wireless joypad? YESYESYES)
Then just plug it in and install the game.
Once you've installed the game go to start menu/all programs/gog.com folder/swos/settings
now you should manage settings from a dos like panel -> configuration/controls
here you can choose between:
ONE Player (keyboard)
TWO players (joystick + keyboard)
TWO players (TWO joystick)
Follow the on screen instructions to bind the controls.
ON MAC OS
The trick here is to download boxer.app
The first time, run the game from here so that you can setup everything from the dos like panel just like on windows.
If you're still having issue or doubts, please ask here! I'll try to give you all the help you need.
