I am having a major problem on level 13 of episode 2. After I collect the floppy disk I push the Platform raiser down the tunnel. the platform raiser gets stuck on the ledge and my character gets stuck in the tunnel unable to push the platform raiser. This seems like a game breaking glitch and this platform that is causing this issue wasnt in the original secret agent. If anyone knows a solution on fixing this I would greatly appreciate it.

Hello paulmmv and sorry for the troubles!

The issue was fixed one hour after the game launch so try updating the game and let me know how it goes.

Issue is fixed Thank you
This issue does not appear to have been fixed for the offline version.
Linux version is still affected. There is no in-game update mechanism. Could the update be pushed to the offline installers as well, please?

Not fixed in game installer 1.0.0 Build 48165.
Linux version not fixed in build 48179

The request for updating the offline installer to v1.0.2 has already been made so it should be up soon.

I apologize for all the troubles and thank you for your patience!
I am also having this issue.

Surely offline installers and GOG Galaxy installers should be kept in sync. GOG Galaxy was marketed with the explicit promise that it is optional, and now I am discovering that patches come out on it first?

That is clearly not acceptable.

I can't agree here. I imagine it is significantly more work to build a new installer as compared to a simple "level patch", which I presume is the process for an online (Galaxy) update?

After all, it's weekend, and the new installer probably needs to be transmitted to GOG, which then have to upload it to their servers and update the website link.

So unless we now have to wait two weeks for an updated installer, I'll be able to handle it; I simply kept the save game and moved on to Episode 3.

That said - I certainly do hope that Emberheart Games has a process in place to ensure that all bugfixes also make it into a regularly updated offline installer - for Secret Agent as well as Crystal Caves.

On a side note to Emberheart Games: Thanks for Crystal Caves HD and Secret Agent HD - these were probably amongst the first games I ever played - back then only the Shareware levels (student, no credit card...) - so finally being able to play them and with proper controller support is awesome.
Kudos to your entire team for this great job!

1) The whole game is less than 100 megs. How long does it take to compile?
2) If this bug was found within an hour of its launch on Wednesday. So your "its the weekend" suggestion is moot. Also, I am a senior software developer with a degree in the field, and if my team releases software with a critical bug in it, it is all-hands-on-deck to fix it, regardless whether it is the weekend or not. It shows that the final release version was never QA'd end-to-end and shows a critical flaw in Emberheart's SDLC. But that is not even what I was pointing out. Emberheart looked like they did mobilize and fixed the issue within an hour, just not in the offline installer. I assume it was overlooked. But that is not acceptable. GOG should have processes in place to ensure the versions in GOG Galaxy and their offline installers are in sync. GOG Galaxy was marketed as completely optional, not "completely optional if you don't mind game breaking bugs a week after it's fixed in GOG Galaxy". This is not an Emberheart issue. It is a GOG issue. They are failing to deliver on a promise.

Overall, I have been very impressed by Emberheart, and look forward to their next project. I have played Crystal Caves HD to death, and I plan to do the same with Secret Agent HD.

Version 1.0.2 now reflects in the offline installers and does address the issue.

Sorry regarding the weekend comment - I referred to the comment from Emberheart games, which indicated "two days ago" - that was my reference.

You conveniently left out the other parts, besides the simple "compile": Submit to GOG, test to make sure the installer doesn't have any dependency issues or new problems introduced, upload to web server, update website and make sure all the links point to the correct file. The basics of QA. I'm sure that you are aware of this process, being in software development yourself.

As long as the offline installer is updated within a week of any found issues, I consider that as "timely". Just my personal perspective, of course - but I also take into consideration that this is about games and not some form of industrial controls software, where the impact of bugs could be far more critical.

The point is mute - Installer 1.0.2 seems to be up, at least for Windows. Thanks Emberheart games and GOG!
I can confirm that the bug is now fixed in the Linux offline installer. Thank you so much, resuming my Secret Agent duties.
I just popped in to check if the offline installer had been updated yet.

I was reluctant to proceed to Episode 3 before completing Episode 2 even though none of us are particularly in it for the story. :P

I would loved the level editor as a kid, but who has the time? :P I assume that the editor only allows you to build individual levels, and not entire missions?

Either way, I'm really, really glad that Secret Agent got the update treatment as I enjoyed it a hell of a lot more than Crystal Caves back in the day (and still do) and these two games are among the select few games that I have bought on day one, so to speak (at least when I had become aware that it was already in the wild!).

Looking forward to Monster Bash now!
