So I got this game just recently. Pretty much my first Free Radical game I could ever play simply because I never had a console.

I managed to get the game running and set my resolution, but that's all I did the first time I ran it. It was too late for me last night and I had to go to sleep.
Tonight I wanted to play the game for real.
Nothing was out of the ordinary, the studio intros happened as they should've, the title screen showed and told me to press space (which I so did) and I got to the profile selection screen... And here's where the problem occured.

I simply couldn't do anything

I couldn't move my mouse, couldn't use my keyboard, absolutely nothing happened while the game kept running.
It didn't crash or freeze, it simply didn't let me do anything. It was just stuck in this selection screen with nothing working.

What am I supposed to do?

Not too sure what your specific issue is, but I double checked by re-installing the game & I didn't encounter any bugs preventing me from getting into the game. If you've already tried re-installing, and/or re-selecting the game via alt-tabbing in and out of the game, you should submit a ticket to GOG:

Okay, to make this clearer, once I pressed the SPACE button and got to the profile selection screen, the game simply refused to detect neither my mouse movement nor the button presses on my keyboard while still running fine without crashes.
It was just stuck there in the profile selection screen, not letting me choose my profile because my mouse and keyboard suddenly stopped working in the game. I haven't tried reinstalling, but something tells me that the game will work fine the first time I run it and lock me from using my mouse and keyboard again when launching the second time.
AltTabbing does work tho.
