Ahh Screamer, this was one of my favorite "non serious" racing games of the mid nineties. I still have this on CD somewhere amongst all my crap, but haven't played it for years. It chugged a little on the old PC back then as it only used software rendering, so it's nice to be able to play it without any issues today. Keep em coming GOG.com
Hell yeah! It was called "Bleifuss" in german ("Leadfoot") and it was my favourite racing game at the time. The successor was awesome too, I hope it comes to GOG.com aswell!
I'm still trying to figure out how this actually ended up on GoG... the info page says it's licensed through Interplay, but Screamer was released by Virgin, which AFAIK never had anything to do with Interplay. Question is: if accessing Virgin's catalog through Interplay works, will it work for other titles as well (Ignition comes to mind which was made an honorary Screamer in Germany: it was called Bleifuß Fun)
I was really happy to see Screamer on GOG. Great racing game in the Ridge Racer arcade style. I was just trying to get my old DOS version working the other day, but couldn't get it to properly calibrate my USB wheel. Man, I like GOG. Keep the racing games coming!
one of my favs arcade racers. finally i have an orginal version of screamer :|
BIG BIG thx GOG. now.... give us Screamer 2 :)
Big thanks to the GOG Team for bring Screamer to the catalogue.
I signed up to GOG ages ago, but this is my first purchase and I have to say I'm really impressed with the service.
GOG for the WIN!
Now, can I map a joystick to this game :)

I remember playing it when I was very young ;)
Of course as soon as it was released I bought it. I hope I can win the time attack contest, but I'm not that good :)
Once again, thank you GOG.com. I'll always support you ;)
ive actually got screamer as part of an old virgin white label bundle.
but i think i might just get this version on gog because its a hassle installing cd stuff to my netbook

Virgin's game rights got divided among several publishers when they pulled out of the PC market. Interplay got some, EA got some, and probably some other publishers, just those are the only two I know for sure.
Thanks GOG! Much more convenient to just download the game here and have it run as well as it can without having to spend ages tweaking it. Especially like the no-cd. :)
