I've set the coordinates in the Living Ship to Matia's Island and when I get there the connectomg tenacle (the one with the chair transporter) it does not connect. It goes to the connecting point and "feels" around, but then retracts. I have checked the coordinates with 2 walkthroughs and they are correct, but I must be doing something wrong. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I assume you have probably either checked a walkthrough or given up on the game by now, but I'll leave this for future travellers.

There is no bug here and you do have the right co-ordinates. There's a puzzle you need to complete in order to be given "permission to dock". Have you noticed there is another panel in the control room that isn't to do with setting co-ordinates? There's also something on the external deck near the lift that you couldn't use before.

Thanks. As you can see, I have given up on this game. I got a new computer, so I may reload this game and give it another go. Thank you for your response.

No problem! By complete coincidence, the last game I finished was by the same developer as this. It's called Sentinel: Descendants in Time and I think it may be the best game of theirs that I've played. Having played Reah, Schizm 1, Schizm 2 and Sentinel there is a clear improvement in puzzle design. All the puzzles in Sentinel felt like they made sense, which is not something I could say for Schizm 1 or Reah where some of the puzzles were almost completely inscrutable.

I highly recommend checking out their later games if you enjoy aspects of Schizm but find some of the puzzle design frustrating. Schizm 2 and Sentinel are both available DRM-free at GamersGate (the only place I could find them). I look forward to playing Nemezis now I have a newer graphics card.
