Hey guys!

Please be advised that this game has little to no optimisation. I would avoid it like the pleague if running a gaming laptop.

Specs:
765 GTX 2 GB
i7 4th gen with Turbo Boost to 3.5 GHZ
8gb 1.600 mhz
Windows 10
SSD drive

To keep things short:
FPS goes below 20 on most occassions regardless of the settings. There is little or no difference between high and low and ultra and no details at all. When I finally get my smooth 50+, I get into smoke or more NPC and FPS tanks down to 15 again.

Don't get me started on making sure I run it on a dedicated GPU. I am.

Game is not optimized at all. People with 970s are experiencing some issues too.

I played through the early builds which didn't run all that well (which is understandable)

Can't complain about the release version - seems to run decently on my machine.

Windows 10 Pro x64
AMD 955 Black Edition
4GB DDR3 1333 RAM
Radeon R9 285 2GB
Mechanical hard drives

The biggest framerate killer in the game is turned on with the Ultra preset -> Screen Space Reflections (SSR)

I'd turn either Off or to Lowest setting - if your framerate takes a dive!

Game loading times could be improved.

My only real complaint is with the actual gameplay - seems a bit directionless as opposed to Syndicate & Syndicate Wars which were mission based.

Perhaps it improves as the city opens up.

I get the feeling that the game may become repetitive i.e. find weakpoint (open door, vent, line), hack district ATM's, raid armouries, raid district banks, buy upgrades, repeat ad nauseam.

All without seeing any end result and or storytelling/plot.

The large amounts of environmental destruction that could be created in Syndicate Wars led to some interesting and humorous scenarios but it's missing here.

Choice is nice but do we need 7 different forms of anti-aliasing? (I don't even know what half of them are - or best setting for my card - tooltips plz?)

Likewise for SSR? The game might be a visual marvel but the gameplay seems to be lacking something...

Game all on LOW. Still FPS tanks down like crazy. In some parts of town it is smooth, in other parts it is just abysmal.
Och gods xD Please hold me before I die of lolz.....Ultra settings and lowered resolution. Suddenly 60FPS super smooth game....I think I am done playing this technological disaster. Atmosphere is great, mechanics are fun, technology behind the game is stoneage not cyberpunk.

Mh, cannot vouch for the game during Early Access, but the released game runs smooth for me so far.

I'm running:

Core I7 4960x@4Ghz
64GB DDR3-1866
AMD Radeon R9-290x 4GB
Samsung 840 Pro SSD

Windows 10 Pro x64
all drivers up-to-date
disabled all the background stuff Win10 does out-of-the-box
no other programs running in background during gameplay

I did the Tutorial, Downtown, Industrial District and the Grid so far, and have not had any noticeable framedrops so far when running the game on the Ultra setting.

Maybe the game does not cope well with mobile graphic solutions?

Video card model numbering is a strange thing.

The GTX 765 does have 2GB of VRAM & DirectX 11 support but...

...It's more the lack of general power in the card - looking at it's benchmark scores it's comparable to desktop cards such as:

> HD 7770 (2012)
> HD 6870 (2010)
> GTX 560 Ti (2011)

I've just replaced my old HD 4770 (2009) with a R9 285 - and the difference is night and day; your R9 290 is even faster.

It looks like the GTX 765M is about twice as fast as my old HD 4770 going off this chart.

Compare that to their latest mobile offering the GTX 980M; it's almost as quick as your R9 290!

I'm not claiming that the game shouldn't work - but I wouldn't expect wonders. Nvidia have done quite well to pack that amount of power into a mobile GPU imo.

Hopefully devs can further improve the game (especially the long loading times) and DirectX12 may help. (Any DirectX 11 card can potentially benefit)

nope, got a msi 970. game is smooth no FPS drops on ultra but I just got my 4th agent.
The game should run well on any modern graphic card, but the CPU optimization seems poor (as in many Unity games). I'm running the game on a i7-3770K (@stock clock) + R9 390 on Windows 10 and the framerate is around 40-45 in populated areas when I zoom out to the max. Lowering the details doesn't change anything, the framerate remains the same on Low and Ultra settings so it seems like it's cpu bound. I tried with Hyper Threading disabled just in case, no improvements.

I've also heard that the performance is lower on Windows 10... might just be a rumor though.

Truth be told, the game just has shitty optimisation. I do not expect wonders but the game itself is no where near the quality and fidelity of AAA games which have even higher requirements. I can play those, Like Witcher series, without any trouble. I strugle with SR :P Come on man. And changing detail levels does not make any difference? Seriously :P

Good that they will improve the game once new Unity is released. That means I wasted money now and have to wait for god knows how many months to play the game. Woohoo! I sleep on a bag of money you know.
Yep, I can add to the crappy optimization crowd, and for good reason.

i7 4770 cpu
gtx 980ti
8gb ram
etc.

I hit 40 fps in 'busy' areas when zoomed out completely. The GPU is utilizing in the 60s%, and all threads are using hardly anything each.

using GeForce control centre to 'prefer maximum performance' does a very minor change.

edit: still completely playable, though it shouldn't be at the performance it is.

Yeap.

765m User here.

Same problems.

I can play Dying Light on med setting and TW2 on low / med at a steady 30 fps.

This game tanks to 16fps sometimes on Med settings.

+1 Poor optimization.

Hey, and for game with better comparison in terms of engine & design:

Path of Exile High, 40-50fps
Pillars of Eternity High 40-50fps
Wasteland 2 High 40fps
Kerbal Space Program High 30-40fps.

Satellite Reign Low 25-50fps... :/.

Please fix and don't blame the unity engine :P.

Wow, it's strange that so many people are having sluggish gameplay, specially with much more powerful PC's than I. Everything seems to run pretty smooth for me, I definitely don't notice any huge performance drops. Everyone that listed their OS listed Windows 10, Does anyone with Win 8 or lower have any problems? (I'm curious, I actually don't run Windows so I cannot test it myself)

I am using Windows 8.1.

It is simply a poorly optimize game is all.
