Alright, let me define my question before expanding my request. By casual adventure fan, I mean someone who does not regularly play adventure games. I have enjoyed them in the past (Grim Fandango, Myst III), but I do not consider myself a devoted fan of the genre. I have heard that Sanitarium is an exceptional adventure game, and therefore wish to try it. Is this game accessible and forgiving to less-experienced adventure gamers, and is plot and/or environment compelling?
I am wary of adventure games because some can be either dull or frustrating. Of course, they have great potential for story and character, which I find attractive. I assume that I will enjoy the game if the puzzles are fair, the setting is engaging, and the plot/character development is strong and consistent enough to keep me playing. So, does the preceding statement describe Sanitarium?
I would appreciate opinions from gamers similar to me (those who play adventure titles sparingly), in addition to any other feedback this community can provide.
Thanks!
