Thanks for your time DeMignon. I'm confused though. I have DirectX 11 on my computer now. If I install DX 9 won't that remove DX 11 ? As much as I want to play the game I'd also like having my other programs be able to run. Or does it install beside my newer version and I have both simultaneously and the program chooses which one it needs? I'm asking because I noticed it said it was uninstallable.

OK thanks. Just before you answered I found the following info.

I installed DX 9 and it ran the game successfully. Thanks everybody.

Like Gydion said, it's more like besides your newer version. To be precisely, you will use always the newest component available, that is DirectX 11 most of the time. But version 11 is missing a few components from DirectX 9 and only those are installed by the DirectX 9 installer, the rest stays version 11. Great! ;-)

Thanks! I had the same problem and installing DX9 made it work. I'm impressed with how well it runs under Parallels.
