I recently installed Samorost 1 after buying Samorost 2 and 3 in a recent sale, however, when I launch it, I just get a black (blank) screen. There is music playing and the cursor is a cross, but nothing visible.

sorry to hear that. Do Samorost 2 and 3 work well on your pc? What are your hardware specs and os version?

Thanks for responding. I just tried Samorost 2 and 3 and they do not work either. It is the same problem.

I have a fairly recent computer featuring an AMD Ryzen 3300X CPU and Radeon 6600XT graphics card. I'm running Windows 10 Pro 21H2 update.

OK, just to come back to this with a resolution. I tried going into the AMD software to update the graphics drivers. When I tried to launch the software (Adrenaline), it said I didn't have a graphics card supported by this version of the AMD software.
So I uninstalled it all and re-installed the latest optional update from 15-Nov-2022 (22.11.1). I previously had the WHQL version from 10-May-2022 (22.5.1).
I suspect a good old uninstall/reinstall cycle was all that was needed. I found this exact weird "not supported" problem on another computer just recently. I'm not sure what is going on there.
Anyway, Samorost 1 is now launching fine. I can see the graphics.

Good to hear, this appears to be amd graphics drivers related, as you described. We currently have very little to go on. Happy to hear you got the game to work and thanks for letting us know!

For me upgrading from AMD Adrenalin 22.5.2 to 22.11.2 fixed the issue as well.
