One of the things many media, including PC gamer, talks when talking about this game is that the fact that Tim Curry voiced as Kratos, the god of wind.
Anything I should know about Tim Curry?
Edit: Oh crud, I can't believe I committed such a mistake.
Sorry.

I found a reference to Tim Curry doing the voice of Stratos:
http://www.gamespot.com/news/2630145.html
I don't think Tim Allen was involved.
despite my edit, I couldn't change the title.
But my question still stands: why did people cite the inclusion of Tim Curry as a voice actor a good thing?
Tim Curry is practically a cult god of general geek circles.
Between doing Rocky Horror Picture Show, Clue, Dale the Whale in Monk and the voice of Gabriel Knight and so many other fantastic works over the years he has attained a huge cult following. I'm especially looking forward to seeing him in Red Alert 3.
I can't get enough of this man.

He's got maybe the best yelling voice. Just watch Legend or the end of the the Three Musketeers, very good voice work. Look at the actors with the most screen presence, it's not always face but usually voice. Not knocking face at all just pointing out voice power ... Christopher Lee, Sean Connery, James Earl Jones, Vincent Price, Max von Sydow to name a few.

Tim Curry, is just one of those people that most other people appear to believe makes things just that little bit more awesome. A bit like Gary Busey I guess...

he was the devil in that movie Legend too. man, he plays an Awesome devil.
I saw him in Spamalot a few years back, and he was great in that! I'm not big on theater (or musicals, for that matter), but he just exudes class and excellence. I've liked him in everything I've seen him in (even in cases where the movie itself wasn't that great). Here's a list of movies and video games that he made that much awesomer by being in:
Legend, Clue, The Hunt for Red October, Home Alone 2, Loaded Weapon 1, The Three Musketeers, Charlie's Angels, this, and Wing Commander 3. And those are just the ones I've seen/played.
Great game by the way, and GOG did a great job with their version. I wasn't expecting it to show up in the Vista Games Explorer with documentation link on the right-click menu and everything... I'm very impressed.

Doesn't the late, and ubiquitous, Tony Jay voice Mithras?

You forgot ... most important of all ..... Bruce Campbell, the voice of Duke Nukem!

Bruce Campbell definitely adds coolness to anything he's in, although I'm not sure his voice is as commanding as the others listed. Anyway, when was he the voice of Duke Nukem? IMDB lists somebody else for DN3D.

Duke Nukem rips off (or pays homage to, depending on who you are) a lot of the one-liners from the Evil Dead movies. Bruce Campbell played the character (Ash) responsible for most of them in those movies but, he didn't voice anything for the Duke games.

That makes sense (I had forgotten most of the Duke Nukem quotes were from the Evil Dead movies), but saying Bruce Campbell is the voice of Duke Nukem is a little confusing.
