I bought sacrifice recently and have run into some issues that make the game pretty much unplayable.
Here are my specs:
Windows 7 RC 64 bit
Intel i7 920
6GB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 285 using the 190.38 drivers
I get graphical glitches (see below) accompanied by a massive gameplay slowdown and occasionally the graphics will "smear" as the old frames aren't erased as new ones are added. Anyone else have this problem and maybe know of a solution?
Edit: Just a bit more info, this occurs on all graphical settings and resolutions, although it seems to require more geometry on the screen before it does it at lower settings.

Go into your Nvidia Control Panel and look around for 3d Hardware Acceleration. I believe you can actualy turn it off just for Sacrifice by selecting it in the control panel.

I have a similar issue also. If i put all graphics to minimum, the smearing/crashing takes longer to happen - but still does happen eventually =(

I'm experiencing the same problem. My setup is similar to the OP, Windows 7 RC 64 bit and a NVIDIA GeForce 8600m using the latest drivers.
I've also tried moving everything to the lowest settings, and turning off all the various options (including from the nvidia control panel).
Has anyone had any luck with this?

Before you go turning off hardware acceleration, I'd try turning off vertical synchronisation for the game. That can cause many problems by itself. Although I haven't seen anything like that.
You can do this by using the Nvidia control panel - Manage 3D Settings.
Add Sacrifice to the list, then "Force Off" Vertical Sync.

I did eventually try turning off V-sync but it was a no go. :(
A little more hunting on other forums seems to indicate it might be a problem with the Nvidia 64bit Windows 7 drivers.

I am running Win 7 32 bit, Nvidia 8600 GGT and it is happening with me as well. Exact same scenario.

im having the same exact issue, windows 7, nvidia 8600m GS
seems like it could very well be an issue with nvidia windows 7 drivers in general, i dont really know what to do about that

Same problem here.
Nvidia 9800 GTX
Windows 7 64
Works fine in my XP 32 dual-boot.
edit: Is GOG going to look into updating their games for Windows 7?

I just tried again on the same setup as above, but this time with Win7 32 bit. I get the same issues, still unplayable :(

Same problems :
Win7, NVidia GTS250
I noticed that if I choose "Direct 3D HAL" instead of "Drect3D T&L HAL" it is playable until I see allied forces (tutorials 1 & 2)
In the tutorials I can see the guide ok and also I can fight the first monster ok in the tutorial 1. But when I see any creatures that have a triangle above their heads the whole framerate drops to unplayable and nothing seems to render properly.
I tried many different 3d acceleration settings but I always get the same results.

I have WIndows 7 64 Bit.
9300m GS
And the game runs unplayable.
THe environment appears and dissapears and runs at some utterly terrible frame rate, this happens with all the graphic settings ive tried. Please help GOG staff!
