I am marking this as a question in hopes of receiving a response directly from GOG.
As of this post I did not receive keys for Sacred or Sacred Underworld, so I am unable to create an account to play online.
Please GOG, even if you can't provide us with keys an answer one way or the other would be nice, and you might want to clarify that's the case on the game's page.

I'm very unhappy. I have waited over 2 weeks. No key, and no reply from gog.com.
What is going on here?

Well... Ascaron is out of business as of now, and also, their closed NET servers were shut off earlier, so there's not much point in multiplayer keys anymore.
You could at most use it for opet NET play, but LAN (with Hamachi) substitutes that perfectly (or at least so I know).

The only Sacred servers being maintained are the Sacred 2 servers (because the publisher acquired the rights to Sacred 2 and any future Sacred titles - Sacred Gold wasn't in on that deal).

Well, one of the reasons I'm cheesed off is, a friend of mine whom I recommended gog.com to bought Sacred Gold from them after I recommended it.
He got his key within 3 days.
This was over 3 weeks ago. So I *should* have gotten a key.
Whether or not the key is useless, gog.com should at least reply to my mails. IMO anyway. -_- Especially since they sent a key to my friend.
I'd also like to try open net play, because I would like to play with said friend.
Am I being so unreasonable?

No, but like I've said earlier, Hamachi+LAN is a really good alternative for open.net.
Still, I hope the staff will respond soon, as then you'll be able to omit Hamachi.

3 weeks later, I've finally received my keys.
Apparently, this nugget fell through the cracks, batter and all. gog.com has picked me up, dusted me off, and given me my allotted helping of key-sauce.
Case is closed for nugget... Looks like I won't have to buy from Steam instead, after all.

Destro admitted in a recent post that they have had a bug in the support system; maybe your query fell prey to that.
Anyway, I'm glad you have your keys now. Also, good analogy ;-).

I requested a key about 3 days ago. Still no keys or any response from GoG.
I'm going to try using Hamachi until I get my key I guess.

Got my keys. Looks like it takes about 3-4 days for them to get them to you.
Not that the keys helped me any......see the TINCAT topic.hehe

How do you ask for keys? I just played through Tunngle but perhaps there are more players on the Open servers.

I would like a second key to play with a second player, but the obvious way (to me) is barred; buying a second copy of the game. Do I just ask them for two keys?
