Is there something like this ?
Not that I know of but I recently tried playing the 2nd game in nvidia's DSR technology @ 2715x1527 and rendering it down to 1080p and it works wonders (really brings out the textures and eliminates aliasing, AA is not needed then).

I haven't tested this for Sacred Gold but it's possible it works especially in window mode as that game had a funny way of rendering your desktop reslution internally but only in window mode.
I have a problem : the sides are a bit hidden because of the resolution. A solution ?

Have you tried it with Sacred Gold? Any issues?
I saw this post on Steam forums which talked about a higher resolution:

I was wondering if someone could maybe help with a step-by-step guide how to get this higher resolutions done for a 1920x1080 screen who is a bit more tech savvy?
That would be so much appreciated.

I tried it 5 minutes ago to my surprise it works, sort of. Only models seem to work even if the entire screen fills, you might have to force AA as well to cover areas where this hack doesn't.

Anyway:
1) Your link
2) Link in your link to reach dgVoodoo
3) Ctrl + F (or whatever to make a search in your browser) and write 52. The link that correspond to that, download it.
4) Unpack it to a folder.
5) Move all 3 files from the MS folder contained in the folder you created in 4) to game directory of Sacred.
6) Move dgVoodoo.exe as well to game directory of Sacred.
7) Start dgVoodoo.exe and go to DirectX tab. Then there's resolution, choose whatever you like.
8) Last, press the icon that looks like this: ". \", this will ensure you the change is made in the folder you're in (game directory) because you moved the dgVoodoo.exe there. It's easier that way in case you want to try different settings.
9) Apply.

If it works, the game should work as usual and you should see a dgVoodoo watermark logo in the down, right corner. You can uncheck this but keep it during testing phase.
And no one can post a screenshot?

Not sure if it would be worth it. It's the 2D background that needs to be at a higher resolution. The 3D models already look ok.

I just wanted to thank you for bumping this almost 2 years old thread, Beeda. I might not have found this solution to my problem had you not done so. I was having parts of the game cut off when using a 16:9 monitor and though I was able to still enjoy the game, it bothered me that I might miss something.

Following Nirth's advice I was able to easily obtain the software and install it. It works without installation which I like a lot and does not require administrative rights on my computer which I really like. It is simple to use and does what I needed.

Thank you, hekoone, Nirth, and Beeda.

Thanks. Based on the screenshots it's exactly what I suspected; not true widescreen at all, just stretched horizontally.

Exactly. Newbies call it "full screen 1920x1080" when it's actually streched without keeping proportions. Just ugly.
This guy here seems expert in fixing old games to REAL widescreen (keeping proportions), but has no fix for Sacred Gold, yet :(

This is something to keep on eye on: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RbpERjEAH_M

This modder is working on creating true HD/widescreen resolutions for Sacred, and he's already made great progress.
