can you uninstalled the game just fine or do you need a program too do that???? i have the cd retail of the disc if i dont use the info that is saying on that retail verison i will lose the cd-key. is it the same here as well??????
Do you have the retail version of Fallen Angel installed? If so, the CD key won't be lost unless of course you saved it in a text file in the installation folder and threw away the package that the manual where the CD key is written on.

I bought Sacred 2 Gold a few minutes ago and we weren't supplied a CD key because the online servers to this game was shut down 2009 I believe. However, you can still play this game through a VPN such as Tunngle via Open Servers (cheating is allowed, game character stored as save files on your local computer).

No unlock needed here. The Gold Edition completely removed DRM all together, Steam version still has its own CEG (encrypted exe).

I would advise to get the GOG version as you will get the the game fully updated with the Ice & Blood expansion in one installer, it's as simple as it can be.

When you uninstall the DVD/CD version the uninstaller will prompt you to deregister the game (online). If, at some point you choose to reinstall from thre DVDs, then you will be prompted to re-activate online. (Is this still working???)

The same key (printed on the manual -in my DVD game-) will work again IF and ONLY IF you deactivated it per the uninstall....

I am happy that GOG now has it, no more DRM BS.!!! (Steam and GG versions both have DRM still.....)

It should be. At least, I haven't read anything on the Sacred 2 forums, that the activation-servers have been shut down.

Nirth: The Gold Edition completely removed DRM all together,
During the first-time startup it commented on the DRM on the first line and that DRM checks were disabled... Curious, but doesn't seem to be an issue right now...

Yes, it's completely safe. In fact, the GOG-version doesn't even have a cd-key. At least, there isn't one on my game-shelf.

Even if it should have one, it still wouldn't matter. The GOG-version doesn't have online-activation, or any other kind of DRM, so you couldn't lose the key anyhow.
