And in case anyone is wondering - yes, it's worth it. Adds a ton of stuff and fixes a number of outstanding bugs. I've been using it for several months now. =)

Has anyone tried yet whether the Community Patch works with the GOG version? That would be great to know before I buy.
will you have more than one save slot for your character then?

I will let you know as soon as I get it installed. It's copying to my thumbdrive as we type. =)

I can confirm this is working with the GOG English installer. I am using CM 1.40hf. No change in the installation instructions.

Thank you. I never had the Ice & Blood expansion, so I am looking forward now to playing Sacred 2 in all its glory.
For players that are concerned about a "pure" experience or are cautious about adding "extra" things, I just want to say please don't be put off by some of the CM Patch extras. They fixed many, many bugs that make the Patch well worth picking up.

There's also a big mod that I developed separately that also fixes some text errors and texture glitches, in addition to unlocking a lot of unused items that were in the game files. It's called the Community Items Mod, and you can read about the details here. There are brand-new handcrafted armor and weapons as well (and some easter eggs from other games).

The mod will be integrated into the next (and final) CM Patch version, to be released later this year, but for now it's totally compatible for installation on top of the current CM Patch.
I actually just added the CM Items mod as well as the CM patch (played vanilla for a bit) as well as a couple other minor mods (one that makes health and exp much more visible for instance). I got the steam version through the Humble Deep Silver Bundle, but only recently decided to sit down with the game (now modded) and give it a real chance. So far I've been having fun with it, the physx effects are nice, and it's nice to have an ARPG with actual camera control for once. Temple Guardian for the win :P

Also thank you bengeddes for replacing the main logo on the menu screen from the holiday themed one the CM patch had, I like humor in my games, but that was a bit much, the Item mod's logo is much better. So props for that.
