hey all, I am new to Sacred Gold [level 8 battle mage] and was wondering where do I go to fix my shields? Swords etc...

You don't have to repair weapons and armor in this game because they do not break or wear out.
However, you can find blacksmiths who can enhance your equipment (if it has sockets). The first blacksmith in the first town has to be rescued through a quest, but you can find blacksmiths in almost every town.

Hm, what you're reading may mean something else. There's no repairing in the game. Can you post a screenshot?

Eg. Are you looking at your shield like this?
"Shield of Oblivion" (0/1)
This doesn't mean zero durability out of 1.
It means 0 out of 1 slots have been upgraded yet
