I just read the other forum topic about Low FPS in-game. The "Windows 98/Me" compatibility seemed to do just the trick; however, I am considering alternate solutions due to "Windows 98/Me" compatibility not being perfect. There has to be a cause somewhere.
Specs:
Windows 7 64-bit RC Build 7100
AMD 4800+ X2 2.4ghz Socket 939
2gig DDR RAM
nVidia 7800GT 256mb
I get the same low in-game FPS in Vista 64-bit as well. I just recently installed Windows 7 because it is too awesome.

Meaning as far as the system requirements go for Sacred Gold, I should be getting better FPS than what compatibilty mode provides.

Try setting the game to run on only one core.

Or just lower the res a bit, I had to.

I just bought this game as I was tired of the damn physical disk. However, I don't recall how to get some performance in this game so if anyone find out please let me (us) now!

Anyone knows how to play in Window mode? I remember playing that way because then it will keep your desktop resolution and therefor there native which is awesome.
