Wolfox: Do you use that same nick on Twitter? If so, have you played East India Company yet? ;-)

carlosjuero: Hehe - yeah, not very original with nick's; Use the same for Twitter and have jumped into EIC - pretty good game, slow to get going like most Global Campaign games, but it is in line with my likes so Im enjoying it :)

I'm rhamorim there... we got the game from the same contest. I haven't played much, but I like what I see. ;-)

Ah cool - kinda nifty to win that, I felt old with how quick some of those folks were answering the trivia questions :/. Kinda crazy that we both are GoGers too eh?

Not so crazy... any self-respecting gamer HAS to know GOG, and to make part of its community. ;-)

Themock: Just bought sacred from gog cause missus wants to play with herself from time to time so I can play sacred 1 on my computer while she plays with herself on the couch.

Zolgar: ,,, does 'play with yourself' have a different meaning in Finland? :)

No but keen comedy sense tickled and that post sounded so much better with the wrong wording ;)

You sick sick man..
I like you.

Ralackk: I would seriously try the demo out before you lay any cash down for this game. I personally found it much worse then the first sacred and I love mindless action rpgs. It probably doesn't help that all the characters look like strippers which gives a wonderful first impression of the game.

The characters look like strippers? Lemme just get on Steam ...
I've been playing Sacred 2 on the X360 for some time now, and I think it's an excellent game, and very much a decent follow-up to the first game. I'm not entirely sure which one is the better one, but I've had a good amount of fun so far, 25-30 hours in.
That said, the camera could be better. When you zoom out, you don't really just zoom out - the camera titls to a more overhead view, making it harder to see what's in front of you. When zoomed in, the camera is still a bit too high, and I don't see what's anhead of me then either. There's also the annoyance of having to unequip your weapons or armor if you want to things into their sockets. I also don't like that the classes are either male or female, being forced to be either male or female is annoying. Again, they also consider class and race the same thing. A high-elf would be a race in any other game, but in Sacred it's both a race AND a class.
Other than that, it's great. No game is perfect, and I see (what I consider) flaws in every game. This one is no different. I'd give it 4 stars out of 5.

I agree, sacred 2 is worth it. I have the xbox 360 version and a friend is gifting me the PC version for my birthday. (His 360 broke and he just sold all his 360 stuff and we still want to play the game together.)
However the version I am being sent is the UK version, it seems. I guess due to the dust up with the devs of sacred 2 going belly up, CDV has pretty much stopped supporting the North American version for Multiplayer and all that...
....anyway. I like Sacred 2 :)
seems that ascaron isn't entirely dead yet :)

Erm... that game has been out for some time (well, on some markets anyway), and this was the last game Ascaron managed to put together.
Also, that news post is from August.
So, as painful as it may be, Ascaron *is* dead.
From what I understand, the Sacred team has been hired by the new company that owns the Sacred license. So we'll see what happens. I Know Deep Silver (of Risen fame) is the new publisher of Sacred; not sure if they are the devs or not.

I *suspect* they were hired for patching purposes for I&B.
What happens after that... we shall see.
well i'd rather think positive ont his one :)

Well whatever the case, I know Deep Silver is working on a Sacred 3.
I finally got my PC version of Sacred 2 all patched up; it was one of the harder patching processes I've been through. FIrstly I have the UK version of Sacred 2, then I had to find the patches, then one of the patches got hung up, so I had to uninstall/reinstall...sheez. The upside is I don't have to have the disk in to play the game.
Sacred 2 on the PC isn't very different then the 360 version, yet it feels alot more like the original (Sacred.) I"m digging it, but I am unsure about the Multiplayer aspect yet. There doesn't seem to be a way to just connect to your friends PC, instead there is a service you have to log in to. Having the UK version I am having to log in to the UK servers. Which is kind of interesting...heh. THe UI Is different then the 360 version, getting used to that. Still dig the game though. I am at a weird place where many "AAA" titles don't interest me, (Well outside of Dragon Age) but many no so main stream games do... I seem to have found out I have an affinity for German and Eastern European RPGs :P

Man, same here...who knew? ;)
I find all the games I'm playing are several years or even many years old. Have not tried Dragon Age yet, it looks promising.
