I just bought Sacred Gold last weekend and wanted to play it (its sounds and looks so fun), but it wont start on my computer.
I have run the installer with admin privileges and then ran the program with admin rights as well. Each time I start the game it takes me to a black screen and then the whole computer will not respond. The computer doesn't seem to freeze, but the game will not respond and windows can't/wont do anything about it. I am having this same problem with divine divinity as well. Both programs install just fine but refuse to work with my computer.
I am attaching my DX Diag as well. Hope that will help. Running Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit, 6 gb of RAM, quad core Intel Q6600. I should be able to play these games easily on this system. So, what I am wanting to know is how I can get these two games to work, primarily Sacred, as that is what this forum is for.
I also followed the general guide lines that Gog.com posts for general trouble shooting, even tried turning the UAC off to no avail.

Actually, you can Ralackk. By default the games you own are displayed when you open the support page, but you can type the name of any game on catalogue in the search box and get to the support articles for that game.

That search box fooled me for a while too, it looks like part of the 'decor' and not someplace you can actually type on, but i pretty much click everywhere, so eventually i figured it out ;)

So, I got the game to work! I tweak the settings like was suggested, but also had to go into the config program that never ran and set up the game. I think it was the videos which stopped the game from responding. I disable videos and full screen mode and it worked great.

Hi there everyone,
I am atm not able to get sacred gold working here on windows 7 home premium, though original poster claims his is. I keep getting error from windows that game wont run on windows 7 64bit, so how he got his working I can't imagine as I too have tried all settings I can think of in compat mode and both config.exe in sacred golds install directory.
Any help on this one appreciated, and yes I have all current drivers for my 8800gtx GPU and a dual core amd x24200 . All other games are working fine here including diablo 2 so I find this really weird.

I also have windows 7. I can not get sacred gold to work even though i have tried everything i know how to do. help would be appreciated. Any ideas?

I am unable to connect two laptops and play co-op. I always get an error on the workstation side when trying to connect to the server with started game. Any ideas??? I am also running it on win 7.

I also have windows 7 64. I didn't notice that it didn't support windows 7 until it was too late. And it won't run. Any chance to get my money back or another game instead? Feels bad to have thrown away 10 dollars.

EDIT: I rebooted. Then it worked! (but it threw me out once). Seems like it works then, but somewhat unstable.
