if you have played torchlight then you will love this game, has lots of similarities specially weapons like guns which the dwarf uses

Cool I Esp. loved the guns in Torchlight. :)
Some thoughts after around 2 years of online playing/farming:

This is pure h'n's game. Core gameplay is farming everything around you for xp and gear. Of course, there are dozens of quests, but they're worthless, unless You do all of them in location (town/city/village), which is rewarded by randomly dropped piece of set. Usually not for your character. ;)

I don't have personal experience with Torchlight, but I have (non-gog) Titan Quest. In my opinion Sacred is far better h'n's than TQ. Better gear, crafting and skill system. Playable characters are also more nice-looking, with and without equipment.

And few words about "guns". The're not best idea for dwarf, but try his flamethrower and mortar grenade skills. Combined with "dwarven armor" gives You very powerful character. "Greed" is also nice one.
How well does it work on win7 x64 machines?
Also thinking to buy it, because of the price reduction, but on the store page doesn't stand win7.

sorry could not get back fast enough, too much work otherwise.
I hope you got the game.
If it runs in W7 x32 it should be fine with x64, which I have.
Did you check the W7 thread regarding the topic?

I still have to d/l and test it.

cheers :)

works fine here.
I only needed to set Compatibility Mode to XP Service Pack 3 to play from the CDs I still have of the game.
Just reinstalled this after about 3/4's of a year and I had forgotten how good it is! My Battlemage is a rampant monster! lol Also, further reading has made my mouth water about playing as the Dwarf. I would recommend this game for sure.
its inspiring
i'll play this one again as well :)
maybe a seraphim now

hmmmm
Oh man, do go for a Seraphim! I love the idea of the secret lightsabre thing you can find!

I started the campaign as the Dwarf and I can't believe how cool he is. I love his weaponry and also his Greed Combat Art. So, so cool!

Also really enjoying the Underworld extension. I'd recommend this game to anyone! The best thing I've bought on GOG.
It doesn't hold a candle to Divine Divinity. It's still a charming game though, and if you love looting and can appreciate a detailed map to roam about in, it's worth the price.
