I've heard somewhere that RollerCoaster Tycoon won't work on Windows 8.1, I don't want to buy a game that will not work for me, it's just a waste of time to have to find a solution in the end. Does RollerCoaster Tycoon work on Windows 8.1? Same question goes with RollerCoaster Tycoon 2 and 3. Thanks!

The general answer is, yes, all three run on Windows 8.1. Though some users run into problems. A lot of them were solved here in the forum, but not all. GOG states support for Windows 8 (that should include 8.1) so you can also ask support for help and you can also use the 30 days money back guarantee if they aren't able to get it running.

It does work on windows 8.1 but you must set the compatibility settings to windows xp service pack 3. 640 colour, and most important run as Administrator. You must also set you antivirus and firewall to acept the game as safe. Then it will work took me ages. Fire wall and adminastative rights are the most important.
