I've been trying to install RCT2 on a USB stick, but I am not hiving much luck. It seems to install correctly and when I play it on the computer I installed it on, it works just fine. However, when I use the game with another computer, it asks me to insert the disk. I have no idea how to get around this. Does anyone know the solution or a mod?

It's probably because the drive letter of the USB stick changes when you plug it into another computer.

On the other PC, try assigning the same drive letter as on the computer where you installed the game.

Here's a how-to:

You might run into a problem, if on the other PC this drive letter is already in use.
To circumvent this, I'd re-install the game on your first PC, but before change the drive letter of your USB stick to a rather late letter, e.g. "R". These are rarely used on other PCs so that you seldom run into a conflict.

The original game installer from the CD would remember which drive letter the CD was installed from. If the CD couldn't be found in the same drive letter, the game would prompt to enter the CD. This was easily circumvented by copying the CD contents to a folder on your drive and installing from there. You just had to leave the CD contents in that same folder. I assume that GOG made an .iso file (usually called something like game.gog) and has the installer set that configuration setting to point to the drive/folder where the game was installed (i.e. C:\Games\Gog\Rollercoaster Tycoon Deluxe\).

I don't have access to my computer at the moment, but I would think that's how it works based on how I got Rollercoaster Tycoon to work without the CD before getting the collection here.
