When I place a ferris wheel in a park I notice that after a while it stops loading, I check the maintenance tab and it still says it's up. Does anyone else have this issue, or know how to fix it?

Are there actually people on the waiting queue to enter the Ferris Wheel? What happens to them? They just wait there forever?

There are two things I've seen happen, the first is that the peep at the head of the queue enters the entrance then seems to walk back out and start queuing again. The second thing is that it looks like the peep at the head just gets stuck before going through the entrance and the wheel holds to load them with the peeps behind them queuing forever not to mention the peeps already on the ride getting stuck.

I haven't seen anything like this in all these years. You can always manually reset the ride by closing it down and clicking the close option again to close the ride and let everyone out.

As for the guest going in an out, that usually happens if he is the only one in the queue and there's nobody to share the wheel's seat with (which you can solve by lowering the ride's price, as the ride lost popularity and needs a permanent discount).

However, this sort of bug may require some setting up. Do you run the game in compatibility mode for Windows XP SP3 and with visual themes/desktop composition disabled?
Yeah my initial thought was that he didn't put a waiting queue in front of the entrance at all. Because that would perfectly explain the behavior. The Ferris Wheel doesn't wait for customers and there need to be at least two to start, but without waiting queue there will only be one person waiting, so after a while when the Ferris Wheel isn't as popular anymore, it will never fill up anymore.

But apparently he put one so I dunno.

I run it on actual Win XP SP3.
Not sure if this is worth adding but (for lack of testing) I only see it on Chris Sawyer's Dynamite Dunes.
Doesn't your thread title state you're having issues with RCT2? Dynamite Dunes is a RCT1 scenario. You must be using one of those community-made ports. Show me a link where you got it so I can take a look.

Dynamite Dunes was actually one of the scenarios officially remade for RCT2 as a download. can't give you the specific link since I believe I got it off the old tycoon planet site but I can offer this one instead: http://web.archive.org/web/20021205113451/http://www.rollercoastertycoon2.com/scenarios.asp
