Odonnell435: During the hoppa chase level where you are manning one of the side turrets I came across an issue were the frame rate dropped to nothing but a slideshow. Rendering the level completely unplayable and halting any further progression through the game.

I was able to find a solution to this problem by right clicking the Rouge Trooper shortcut icon, then clicking Properties, after that I clicked the compatibility tab. In the compatibility tab, I check marked "Run this program in compatibility mode" and selected Windows XP (Service Pack 3).

I started up and continued my game bringing me back to the level of issue to find that frame rate was normal again and I was able to blast through the level without any difficulty.

alvorsam: Thanks for posting. I had the same problem. At first I thought some of my other running programs was eating memory, but found out quickly this wasn't the case. A LOT of comments on Steam as well on excactly the same level issue.
Will try Compatibilty Mode.

PS There does exist savegames if anyone cannot get this workaround to do the trick. I've seen some on cheathappens.com, but if they are compatable is another question...

korell: If you send this info to GOG on a support ticket for the game and they might just release a new version of the installer that applies the compatibility mode to the game executable to prevent anyone else from experiencing this issue.
