YES!

Now I can use my USB SNES pad (when I buy the game)! It has a far superior d-pad to 360 controllers and I feel weird playing side scrollers with an analogue stick.

Thank you so much Cellar Door. <3

JudasIscariot: You should be able to use to Joy2key or Xpadder. The game has been setup with that in mind :D

wonko1221: Neither Xpadder or Joy2key is working in either windowed or fullscreen. Has anyone had success with a non-360 controller?
Yes, I have a Logitech controller.

I use joy2key and I had to change the options for it to work. In Options tab in joy2key, there's something called "Emulation mode," try setting that to a different value and see if it works. That's what I did.
Dunno if it's been mentioned, but I use Motioninjoy with my ps3 controller and it works pretty good.

Nirth: The demo worked for me with my Wii Classic Controller with a USB-adapter and Xpadder. The game doesn't recognize (I think) the controller but I added the keyboard buttons to my controller in Xpadder layout and it works as intended.

ChemicalAgent: I've tried both Xpadder and Joy2Key, but neither one is working. It runs fine in other programs, but doesn't respond once in RL.
Have you tried forcing Xpadder to run as admin? The game runs as admin (highlighted by the nice UAC warning) and I've found out that with some games Xpadder has to be run as admin as well, otherwise I get the behaviour you described. I think it was with Unepic where I've seen this too.
I just went to options, and selected Use Directinput joystick :)

I came to second that, no problems whatsoever (no that I finally got motioninjoy running, which isn't a given). Set it emulate an xbox controller (Xinput-default).
