I've been playing Risen for about 20 hours and am enjoying it so far.
Today when I booted the game, everything seemed normal. But when I try to 'continue' or 'load' the autosave or quicksave, it does the same thing--the regular load screen comes up but the middle is red instead of a picture, the progress bar keeps appearing to load the game, then a picture finally shows up in the middle. Then, while still on the loading screen with the progress bar full, the in-game music starts playing (kind of glitchy-sounding) but it stays stuck on the loading screen and will not go into the game.
I tried verifying the game files, and got a message that said 'one file failed to validate and will be re-acquired'. So I started the game again, same result. Veritied files again, got the same "one file failed to validate" message. Tried to play again, same results. Any idea how to fix this?
