Hi guys,


I just got Risen 3 and I would like to know if it is ready to play as it is, out of the box or do I need to install any patches?

Maybe a bit late, but the game is patched to the latest here on GOG, so good to go out of the box.

This reply is definitely late, but one mod for the game I'd highly recommend is Neffo's texture mod available from NexusMods (had to remove link, forum refused to accept posting, but quick bit of searching and you should be able to find it). It's a sizeable download at about 5.5GB, but worth it IMO. Just be sure to read the instructions about the config change required if using the English dialogue option.

GOG won't let new users post until they have a certain minimum rep count (not sure how high it has to be - maybe 15?) Anyway, thanks for the heads up on that mod. Here's the link, for anyone interested:
