Thanks for the quick reply!

Another question: is there any community patch made for Risen, like those made for Gothic games ?

Thanks again, triock!
After reading the links given by triock, I found out this piece of info:
"The texture mods just have one problem in common, they demand more memory than the game has access to, which can lead to crashes. One possible fix for that is the 4gb patch, which prevents the memory from running out.Unfortunatley steam refuses to launch the modified .exe and I don't know how to solve that."

Since I am installing the GOG version of Risen, that info about Steam and its modified .exe won't be needed here.

Even so, if I'm installing BetterLowPolyVegetation and Jacko2´s Risen High res Texture-Pack, do I still need this 4GB Patch?
Where do I find it ?

PS: I'm using Win 7 64 bits and my videocard is GTX 760 with 4GB VRAM.

Well... Risen 4GB patch yes !!! :)

Another questions: (it's incredible how one question always leads to others :P )

1) About flora/vegetation mods, which one is better: Vurt's DarkRisen or BetterLowPolyVegatation ? Do they conflict each other ? I'm sticking to Vurt's mod, because he is a well-known modder (since Oblivion times, at least as I can remember) and his work with Skyrim Flora Overhaul is a masterpiece;

2) About rebalancing mods: according to A.R.B.M readme (Another Risen Rebalancing Mod, by CzarnyAfgan), this mod was created especially to work with Kuchenschlachter "Radical Reballancing Mod". I am using RisenMDS and this Radical Rebalancing Mod isn't listed there (or then my eyes are deceiving me). Do I still need this if intend to use A.R.B.M ? Do they conflict each other ? Can anyone recommend them both ?

Thanks!

You don't need Radical Mod, but it is recommended ;) - "ALSO RECOMENDED TO PLAY WITH Kuchenschlachter "Radical Reballancing Mod"

Well, there is a demo total conversion, called Neuland:
http://www.worldofrisen.de/download_89.htm

I haven't played it yet, but as far as I can see, the modification is only avaible in german and in russian.
There seems that there is no english version.

This mod offers a new map and new quests.
Neuland has german, english, polish and russian texts.

Is Neuland still being developed? I hate starting story lines that are never finished.
Uhm, not really because it's finished. It was never ment to be more than what it is right now. We wanted to prove that Risen has modding potential and that we did. At times there were thoughts of adding some more technical stuff like a new spell.

Wow nice! This is a good news for me (and many other people).
I like to learn the polish language, so I will try once the german and the polish version of the mod.

Kuchenschlachter is right. This small mod should only proove that Total Conversions are possible with Risen 1.
But it was never meant to be a "true" TC, it just wanted to proove that it is possible.
