Did you find a fix? I'm having this issue myself and have no clue what to do.

Change the keybind for "aim" to something else.

A is aim by default. Holding this key changes forward and back into aim up and aim down. If you rebound stuff for WASD and didn't change some of the other controls, aim is probably still set to A. So while strafing to the left, W will move you forward and make you look up.

This exactly right. This thread is also redundant and, as I said in my redacted OP, GoG staff should delete this thread.
