Anyone remember if it has Mouselook? I had to go to EDuke32 for it in DN3D. Back in the day, I used to be a keyboard-only gamer. Even through Descent 2. Sometime later, maybe around Quake 2, I finally picked up the mouse+keyboard combo.
Now I find I can't live without it, and can't fly worth a damn without it in Descent, for instance. I dunno how I ever managed in true 3D games with keyboard only. I even played the original Quake that way.
ROTT is only 2.5D. The only vertical element I remember are those silly springboard launcher pads, but it's enough to make me want Mouselook.
Man, I remember getting a Number 9 VESA card specifically for this game, as my original Trident wasn't up to it. Ah, the memories...
WinROTT has mouselook IIRC.

Ah, that's easily to correct, just get the SDL runtilme files from the SDL site: www.libsdl.org,
unpack all the dll files to your winrott folder, and it's ready.
Here's a direct address to the files you need:
http://www.libsdl.org/release/SDL-1.2.13-win32.zip
You might need the SDL_image and SDL_mixer files too. They're avaiable on that site too.
SDL_image:
http://www.libsdl.org/projects/SDL_image/release/SDL_image-1.2.7-win32.zip
SDl_mixer:
http://www.libsdl.org/projects/SDL_mixer/release/SDL_mixer-1.2.8-win32.zip
enjoy!

Yeah, to enable mouselook select options in the main menu, then select ext user options, and select mouselook to enable it.
ok I found it, but up and down when using mouse look is slow. Any way to fix that?

Change the mouse speed, theres an option to do so in the mouse options.
The mouselook is quite choppy for me with WinRott and WinrottGL :/ changing mousespeed doesn't solve it :O

Try deleting or renaming all the files ending with an extension .ROT. Those files are created again by the game if theyre not there.
That did the trick... odd.
I'm running the default Rise Of Triad GOG install (no winROTTGL) and I can't find mouselook in any of the options. Is mouselook only supported in winROTTGL?
