Gents,
If need a smoother Rise of the Triad, then look no further.
http://home14.inet.tele.dk/Bna-Info/WinRott_Full_v2.24.zip
& take this for the .dll's
http://home14.inet.tele.dk/Bna-Info/DllPack.zip
1. All you do is download that exe and those dlls
2. Stick them in the directory of the Rise of the Triad that you purchased from GOG.com
3. Double-Click WinRott exe you inserted and PLAY

If by anything and everything you mean all the game content, then yes, it will. It can load md2 models too, actually.
Hey folks. Coming to this thread late, but it looks like all the WinROTT links are no more; they all link to what looks like a "file not found" page on a Danish ISP site or some such. Not only that, but I can't find a reliable link for the files via Google either. Anyone here have another link?
i think it was all moved to riseofthetriad.dk.

Thanks! Looks like the right place to me.

This doesn't work for me. When I load up winrott, it brings up that window that shows resolutions settings and lets you load up alternative levels, but when I click on the "Run Winrott" Button, it just goes back to the desktop and does nothing. :/
Any ideas?

Their site moved a while ago. Click here.
the colors look all messed up in winrott, is there a fix for this?
A little tip. I have W7 and the game did not start. All I had to do was enable win xp compatibility and it works great.
Old thread I know, but you would have thought GOG would have worked this neat little tool into the version they are selling. It's seriously a huge improvement on the graphics.

GOG probably aren't allowed to include WinRoTT or GLRoTT in their Rise of the Triad package. It is a replacement engine for the game and isn't official, whilst GOG have the rights to distribute the official release. GOG can include DOSBox as presumably they have permission to distribute DOSBox (it is free after all) and all that DOSBox does is to allow the official DOS files to run via emulation, so it is running the official game release.

For the same reason, you don't get eDuke32 with Duke Nukem 3D.
