After installing and running ROTT, my AVG anti-virus flagged the exe file as a threat and wanted to quarentine it. I'm pretty conservative on these issues, so I said yes.

I'm just wondering if anyone else has had this issue.

Yes, this means I bought the game off GoG and haven't played it. =(

AVG does make false positives and it wouldn't be the first game on here to be falsely identified. I think it's because various cracks and edited executables that GOG provide so that the games are DRM free cause some virus scanners to identify them as threats. Raise it to GOG support, send it to AVG support, but unless you are infected the file should be clean.

If you are still worried about it, then use WinRott or GLRott instead. They are native Windows engine ports for the game files and the latest versions run really well for me, plus you get to play in a higher resolution. This way, you only need the data files from the installation, not the executables as WinRott has its own launcher.

Thanks, I'll try those.
