Hi everyone !
Premitting i'm playing this game on "sage" difficulty and i can't "barrel roll" because i don't have a M4 button nor a working gamepad... has anyone ever beaten Zarix in "terminal boredom" ? I'm trying to since an hour but so far i can only "barely" get rid of his shields, as soon as i find a moment to attack him again his shields are back there and i can't really reach to hit the ship hull without being smashed in one single hit.
I've tryed everything, using the Time Levee, teleporting around, it doesen't work, i just barely get enough time to recovery some ship hull and shields before being destroyed in one hit no matter the direction i attack him from nor the strategy i use, I can certainly evade him but as soon as i try to attack, BAM, ded in one hit and it really seems like i'm fighting a battleship on a fisherman boat, which could be challenging but at somepoint it feels very frustrating to see that no matter what you do nothing seems to work or sort any real effect, all because your ship blows up in just a pinch more than one hit but he takes forever just to have the shields down.
So please, if anyone has ever beaten this motherf***** on Sage or higher, can let me know how ?

Hey Otakuwolf,

You can rebind the Archetype Modifier (default MB4) to whatever key you like in the Options menu under Key Binds>Archetype Modifier.

I keep it as it is for when i'll get a new gamepad, this one i have is broke and constantly points downward (happens with all the games), but as i sayd is everything solved, in the end i had to "play chicken" with Zarix to trow the "explosive barrel" like thing in his face, problem solved ^^

This happens with a lot of low quality build controllers, even official xbox360 controllers do it.
Depending on your driver for the controller, you may want to enlarge your deadzone (this seems to help me).
^just a fyi, to try it before spending money on a new controller.

If you don't have the driver software, there is xpadder (newest version cost money, but older versions ARE FREE, google it.. I'm too lazy to find a link to older free version).
