Well, several years later, it appears this has sorted itself out. Wonder how they managed to track them down?

So We-Go, the Korean company that had previously owned the rights, vanished from the face of the earth. As far as I could tell, they had been consolidated into a single person's holdings. From there, I lost the trail.

And then not so recently, new owners happened and Re-Volt is back.
