I've read on RockPaperShotgun that Retro City Rampage DX is a free update for who bought original RCR. I have it on GOG and I wonder if it will be updated on it too or I have to buy it again. In last case I won't buy it, I'm sorry :S

PS: Excuse my bad english.
Personally I'm hoping it'll be updated. As far as I can tell there's plans for updating the Steam version to DX. But the WiiWare version is something you'll need to re-purchase.

Guess it could go either way. Some newer games get well supported on Gog, some get released and only further developed on Steam.

Interestingly enough, the official website states that yes, the remade DX OS X edition will come to GOG. However, the PDF file hosted on the webpage does not seem to mention GOG at all. I suppose we will have to wait and see what the developer will do...

EDIT: Made the website link work right now.

Also rather interestingly, your avatar is Escape Goat, the sequel of which was sadly one of the games I thought of. Receiving level editor support on Steam but no such luck for Gog. Here's hoping we're luckier with RCR.

The lack of leaderboards was a bit sad, but not unexpected, but felt rather annoying when constantly seeing the leaderboard screen with a label across it being the Gog version. Maybe that's just me though.

Hm, that is pretty interesting to note actually. I own the sequel via Humble/Steam, so I never really noticed that EG2 was not still updated here.

Oh yeah, when I was browsing around RCR's website today, I did find this page. I'm not sure if you saw it, but I would think it nearly confirms that RCR DX is coming to GOG (unless the dev somehow slipped up and somehow placed two GOG rows where they should not have been). Also, the dev has been pretty good about updating his game on GOG, so chances are good the GOG version will receive the DX upgrade.

EDIT: I think the link works now?

Yeah that does quite seem to confirm it as an update for Gog as well. Great news. And good find :-)

Btw. the link doesn't seem to work, the url= is empty, so it's just a link pointing nowhere with the actual url as text.
GOG should be getting the DX upgrade soon. I have the Humble Store version of Retro City Rampage, which is also DRM-free, and I just got the DX patch from there. Works great.

Thank you very much Gog :-)
And also thank you very much to vblank, if anyone is checking the forum, for not forgetting about us Gog users.
