The Portuguese are stopping to honk, so I stopped playing for tonight. I played a major surprise in the story this evening and felt compelled to comment on it and give some feedback. (I just entered a warehouse, to give you an idea on how far I am.)

About the surprise: I wondered about this when I first saw the object which allows you to prove some background of the surprise. It just didn't make sense. I also wondered about the use of a certain object early in the game, but still I was unable to make a connection or anticipate the surprise. I wonder if there are more clues...

So far, I like the game quite a lot. The story and characters are interesting, the puzzles are solvable (not too hard, not too easy) and the graphics and sound are quite nice, too.

There was one puzzle related to retrieving a document which I found a bit annoying, because it took me quite a number of tries to figure out and every try needs some preparation and cooperation between characters.

Twice I progressed thanks to internet help: Once to find out that a certain gadget can make solving a puzzle easy (after I already solved 3 sides by wildly trying *facepalm*) and a second time because I didn't realise there's an area left to the receptionist at the ICU.

I have to confess that I was a bit put off at first when I saw the speech bubbles and only partial voice (character's thoughts are not voiced), but now I think it fits the game well.

So far I can only recommend the game, congratulations to the devs!

Heh. I didn't even think adventure games needed voice acting until Resonance. Usually, it only added to my annoyance when I got stuck and had to click on everything, stopping the speaker mid-sentence.

There'll be some fantastic VA in the next scene.

Just finished it. You have been a beta tester? And I wondered how you could finish the game so soon after the release. ;-)

I had to resort to looking for help a third time. (I consider this a bad thing, because I'm fairly patient and hate not being able to solve a puzzle on my own.) During a phone call, I exhausted all non-terminating options multiple times, but got only "It's all their fault." instead of the continuation of the scene. :-(

But otherwise I retain my positive opinion and I personally like it better than Gemini Rue. I'll probably play it again when the boxed copy arrives to make some different choices (I instinctively chose the "good" ending and trusted everyone during the game.) to see what I missed.

What *is* the good ending? There's one that has you making the right moral choices, one that is perhaps "best" for the world in general, and one that is (at least superficially) "best" for the characters.
Wow I didn't see this coming at all. Just finished the game now, and immediately went back to check out what would happen if I did the last scene differently. Both endings are messed up in their own respects. I absolutely loved this game. The Vault scene will go down as one of my most memorable I've played. It all happened so fast, and if there were any hints it was coming I definitely missed them.

I only know one ending (wait, there are *three* endings?) and I guess it's the one which is best for the world, but less so for two characters who are still "persons of interest".

I can guess what the superficially best ending for the characters is and I consider this a worse alternative. I do not know about the third, but if it involves the plans of a third character (which I thought I can only foil), then it might be preferable, depending on the exact outcome.

There is a third ending. Just stop for a while, listen to what he has to say and use your wits.
The best for the world, the worst for the characters.

If this game has alternative paths then they are too hard to find. Is that on purpose? Finding them suppose to be rewarding? I spent half an hour trying to get to alternative ending in the last dialog with Ed and did not succeed. I wonder just how many people are able to figure this out? Personally – I think I just give up.

It's... debatable how good for the world it is compared to another "good ending", considering people die (I hope the purple-haired girl survives!). Really depends on how peacefully the villains go down in the second ending.

Certain headline during the credits suggests they didn't cause any more problems. And the Important Things were all used up, so they'd have to use some other means to do any harm.
And for the world, it killed ~20 more people. More people die in car accidents in average sized country. Sure, it's a tragedy. But it's still better than bringing slavery upon entire world.
Also hope purple-haired girl is fine. 9th floor looked intact.

It's an amazing scene and was truly shocking without being cheap or over the top. However, I did have my suspicions as detailed in the image below (in lieu of actual spoiler tags on these forums). I may be wrong about the 2nd part, though, I haven't completed it yet. There is also a hint about "that person" that is mentioned in the scene after the vault. The "going out of your way" thing.

Everything serves a purpose!
