The Capcom logo, and Chris screaming in the hallway have sound, as soon as it hits the "press any button" and on, no sound. What do? =(

Click the left mouse button. The game somehow loses focus, and the sound is gone, so, a left click gets the focus to the game again.

Nah, it's in focus anything that isn't one of the movie cutscenes has no sound.
Then I can only say that I don't have that issue.

Appreciate the attempt at least, but the game doesn't do anything if it's not in focus, tabbing back to it/clicking in it doesn't help. This is so frustrating. >=|

did you find a solution? if you did, can you share it, please? i'm experiencing the same issue.
Is the entire game like that or just the selection screen and first cutscene?
I’m getting the same issue. Its the whole thing, no menu sounds, no cutscene or game sounds either.
Okay. So the only thing I know about a loss of sound would be if you are using a Dualshock/Dualsense controller. Occasionally those will default sound to the controller for some reason which doesn't work anyway so you end up with no sound.

That's the only thing i have.
game sound was working fine until a few days ago. i don't know whats going on. i already contacted tech support here gog. i would appreciate if you all contact them too so they can know its not one person experiencing this issue. the more people report it the more they are going to act fast
I found a solution I hope this helps everyone. What I did I went to control panel on windows 11, I click on Hardware and Sound, and then I clicked Sound, right click your defaulted speakers output and click configure speakers and then choose stereo. mine was originally on 5.1 surround. i was able to hear dialog and sound effect after i choose stereo. I hope this helps everyone. I enclosed screenshots. reply back if it works for you.
