They already announced it on August 19th that RE2 will be released on August 27th.

It would make more sense to release games that are not available on Steam or anywhere else, like Dino Crisis 1 and 2, rather than releasing games that are already available on Steam, and most people already own it.

... or... release Resident Evil 1, 2 and 3 on Steam. ;)

Of course, Dino Crisis 1 and 2 should be made available on GOG as well. Especially 2 IMO. But I would also like to own RE4 and RE5 DRM-free, and in RE5's case I hope they fix the weird issues it has launching via Proton. For some reason it works sometimes, and doesn't other times. It would also be nice if the "Mercenaries United" mode from the PS4/Xbox remaster was included.

Anyone catch when specifically it releases tomorrow? I think when they announced it coming out on the 27th underneath the announcement it said the exact time but can't find the info anywhere anymore. I think if I did my time conversion correctly and I remember correctly it will be around 4am est..but I could be wrong.

Imo in a bit because I think it counts as Europe timing but idk

Anyone already know if classic rebirth is possible with this release?

So far, I have not been able to get it to work, even with the Japanese version.

Were you able to get around the classic rebirth exe asking for install key or no?

I'd get a small error message and then a boot to the vanilla game.

When I launch the classic rebirth exe I can change all the setting but because I don’t know the install key or if gog even provides one when I click launch it just doesn’t do anything
